A few months ago, a new Chinese magazine called, "Little Thing Magazine" approached me via Etsy to see if I would like to be featured in their magazine. Here is a little part of the email:

We have 3 important part of contents: illustration, fashion , and creative design.... we also promote recycling, redesign, handcraft and working with illustrators worldwide. Our slogan is "we collect beautiful things".

There is a section in our magazine called Little Paper Majic, which introducing interesting paper artists, fashion image and creative little lifestyle brands with notebooks, papers. We are all amazed by your products and imgaes, they have similar feeling as what our magazine want to transmit - we collect beautiful things. It will be great if we can have an introduction of your brands with the designer by email...

We just launched our 1st issue late last 2 month and 2nd issue this month, and hopefully we can get your works on the 3nd issue. You can contact me by XXXX@ hotmail.com (msn) and visit our website http://littlethingmagazine.com

If you go to the website... I suggest going to google and typing Littlethingmagazine in the search box and then using the translate option to view the site in english. Unless you read Chinese that is.

I got a copy of the magazine today, and was very surprised at how thick and pretty it is!

I also added a picture of the pretty paper doll that came in the magazine.. how cute!

I finally made those pillow boxes!

I've been dying to learn how to make pillow boxes... I kept looking at the templates but I kept putting it off. It looked like a pain in the butt. And.. well it is a little.. but not horrible. I traced and followed the template, and they turned out pretty good. I need to find a bigger template though, cuz these are tiny.

Then I made a few pads and pens for my own families stocking stuffers! They are so cute I want to keep them or sell them instead!

Creating, promoting, and working

I've been so busy working full time, coming home and creating custom orders, working on promoting my Etsy Store and promoting on my twitter, that I always forget about posting on my blog!

I've been making a ton of exciting new clipboards and mini clipboards... which are now my new favorite. But they are more expensive to make.. so I only have a few right now.

This weekend I found I'm featured in two blogs! http://lavendercottageoriginals.blogspot.com and http://poshplushies.blogspot.com/

So totally sweet to be recognized for your work!

I'll leave you with some new pictures of some of my new and custom order items!

Sketch #... um I forgot...but I did do it!

I made this on paper trey ink dark chocolate and sweet blush paper, the Birthday wish is from Butterfly Kisses, and the cupcakes are from The cats pajamas. The polkadot paper is unbranded.. and the natural cardstock is from Michaels.

Anyway.. I think I did pretty good at the sketch!

Multiple birth cards... what do you think?

A friend of mine asked me if I might do her birth announcements. Well she's having triplets! That presents a challenge, and the fact that I don't have many baby stamps... well I made some mock ups today... but she said she decided to wait to make sure everyone was healthy, and maybe send photo cards instead. Which is fine. Everyone liked the peas one... and I like the butterfly one. Figures!

I'm in print!

I was in the Christmas Spirit

We went to PIT and Hobby Lobby last night, where I happened upon a clear stamp set that was on clearance, just casually thrown on a stack of paper. I don't know if someone put it down because they decided they didn't want it, or because they forgot it, but their loss is my gain. For $1.80 I got a whole very cool stamp set.

The first card I made with the new set, and the 2nd card I made with my new papertrey ink set.

Well maybe this is it!

I had some big sales on and off etsy this week... I sold all 3 clipboards... several pad/pens... and just a couple sets of cards.

So I think the altered stuff will probably be my focus and will probably not be as much of a priority for me.

Anyway... you can view and buy my items here

Forget fall, I'm ready for Christmas

Since it's been raining here for almost 3 days...Scott and I hung out and made some cards. I got my new stamps in from www.thecatspajamasrs.com So I made a card with that. I think it turned out pretty good.

And I made a set of 3 matching Christmas cards. (I'm not sure why 3... that's just what I did!)
